NOTES
Additional Information:The Scharwark building is a two story brick structure which facaes west onto the Public Square. The storefront area has been substantially altered, with a shake roof added above an imitation brick storerfont. The second story retains a greater amount of original detail, including corbelling and a a metal cornice complete with brackets. The second story windows have been replaced with aluminum units and a louver, the segmental arches remain intact. Overall, the building has suffered a substantial loss of integrity. A similar building, although with a more distinctive cornice is the Skowronski building at 835 Main St. 2736. This building has had numerous commercial uses, primary of which was as a saloon.
