Additional Information: | 2021 - This two-story commercial vernacular building was constructed in 1904. The building has a rectangular footprint, stone foundation, brick cladding, and a gabled roof that intersects a false front with a flat parapet. The storefront level contains two retails bays separated by a central bay containing a second-floor entrance. Each entrance is approached by a small concrete stoop with a modern metal railing. The storefronts are symmetrical. Both contain a set of double doors, each with eight panes of glass, set between two replacement display windows. Above each door is a three-part transom window. The second floor has regularly spaced one-over-one sash windows with stone sills and brick lintels. Continuing up the false front of the façade are two louvered openings and a stone plaque with the name “John Moilein.” The east and west (side) elevations have regularly spaced two-over-two wood sash windows across the second story. There is a two-story wooden porch on the south (rear) elevation. |
