Bibliographic References: | An 1895 plat map indicates that there are no structures yet built on the parcel, which is identified as owned by William Wilson. Sanborn maps, which date to up to 1935 (updated to 1943) do not cover this far east in the city. Assessor's records cite a 1900 date of construction; the house was likely built circa 1900. A 1916 plat map cites Frank Rowe as the owner of this parcel; census material tracks them at that approximate location (based on neighbors) by no later than 1905. Because of a convoluted Government Lot legal description, combined with a tract index that lists all parcels within that greater government lot parcel together, deeds are not useful until 1947, when Lydia Stenner owned the home 1947. Stenner sold the house to Bert Carpenter on 27 March 1947 (114/113, #161146). Tax rolls were not reviewed. “Architecture/History Survey: Reconstruct STH 81 (E.
