DESCRIPTION The house on this property is an one and one-half story log structure with a steeply-pitched intersecting gable roof, wooden frieze, some modern vinyl siding, and some modern bay windows. Old windows are six-over-six double-hung sashes. The hand hewn logs are filled with chinking and the corners are dovetailed. A small entry porch covers the rear entrance. Also on the property is a large gambrel-roofed barn with board siding, large sliding doors, a fieldstone foundation, and some window openings. One side of the barn is banked.
The barn (AHI #71755) has some interest as a good example of a turn of the century in Mequon. |
