Additional Information:This home was built for Faye R. Smith. He was the proprietor and owner of the Faye R. Smith Jewelry Store established in 1899. Faye was associated with several banks in the area for more than forty years having helped to organize the Farmer State Bank in 1912. At the time of his death in 1954, he was regarded as one of the New London's oldest businessmen. His son Rudd and grandson Dave were operating the jewelry store in 1954.
