Additional Information:Stone trim, metal cornice, polychromy, brickwork, Gothic arch; storefront altered.

In 1896, Garrett Sullivan built this building, with a dry goods and clothing store occupying the first floor and the upper level housing professional offices. Sullivan ran a successful building until 1910. James Cristy purchased the business and stock and his son, Harry, managed the store. In 1919, a partition wall on the second floor was taken down. This allowed Cristy to open a ladies' ready-to-wear department and add a new, wider staircase. After Harry's death in 1952, his son James became store manager. Cristy's Department Store closed in 1983. A few years later, a local bank bought the property and tore down the building to make room for their expansion.

2020 - building no longer extant.
