NOTES
Additional Information:Dormers, lintels, oriels, slate roof; storefront altered.

Marvin Gallae built and owned several buildings in New London. The main storefront of this building housed the dry goods store of Remich and Freiburger. Located on the second floor were three office suites of three rooms each, occupied by Dr. Delano , Matt Knapstein Insurance Agency, and John Marx's photographic business. The building also held Gallae's residence.

John Seering operated his clothing and variety store here from 1926 until 1931. Otto Ferhman and Joseph Kircher relocated their furniture and undertaking business to this location and remodeled the building, adding balconies and refinishing the interior.

Ferhman and Kircher, in 1933, separated their funeral business from the furniture store and opened a funeral home on Hancock St. After the death of Kircher, who at the time owned the business by himself, Borchardt and Moder continued the business as a furniture store.

2020 - Not resurveyed. Loss of integrity. Update photo.
