| Additional Information: | Projecting wooden triangular shaped window heads; screened porch on ell; gabled door hood; oculus. This house was the long-time home of shoemaker and dealer fred Pohlman. He lived here between the 1860s and around 1910. Pohlman was a German immigrant who began a shoemaking business in 1870. He was located at 305 E. Main until the 1910s. This house has some historical interest as the long-time home of Fred Pohlman, a shoemaker and retailer in Watertown. While Pohlman's business was a long one, it was not individually significant. This house, therefore, is not individually significant for local history. |
