Additional Information: | F in photo code stands for FCS. This is a two and one half story vernacular front gabled frame house. One of six similar structures on a street leading to a paper mill, it was presumably built and originally owned as company housing. Built on a rusticated cement block foundation, 513 is clad with asbestos shingles and roofed aith asphalt shingles. Bungalow style details include deep eaves and plain bargeboards resting on geometric brackets protruding at ridge and wall plates. It has a full-width front porch, with two pairs of square pillars supporting a gabled roof that shields an entry at the right and three sash windows to the left. The original porch rail is borne by square balusters. Two sash windows in the second story of the facade are surmounted by a horizontal attic window. All doors and windows have aluminum storms. Adjacent to the house is a garage. |
