| Additional Information: | 2023: This service station and garage consists of a one-story box-type service station circa 1930 and a one-story utilitarian garage constructed circa 1940. The service station is a rectangular plan building with stucco clad concrete block walls, plate glass windows, and a clay tile clad hip roof with widely overhanging eaves. The windows have been replaced and slightly reduced in size since 1978. The garage building is rectangular in plan with concrete block walls and a flat roof. The two vehicle bays in the east elevation have been in-filled and replaced with one-by-one sliding windows and a pedestrian entrance. The two buildings are attached via a narrow hyphen. 1978: An example of the early Standard Gas Station, here with many accretions and alterations. |
