NOTES
Additional Information:The brick work is especialy noteworthy on this Italianate house. Raised bricks form corner pilasters and an entablature. Although the original windows have been replaced, thin brick hood molds have been retained. Brackets appear in pairs along the eave line. The porch is a later addition. This house is on parts of 5 lots purchased by Abel Neff in 1878. Although Neff's home is not on this site in 1876, the address in the 1879 Directory could be this site. Adolph Mehlmann, a cigar manufacturer, purchased the property in 1884 and is listed at this address in the 1884 Directory.
