Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. 2005-BRICK PARAPET DETAILS, BRICK CORBELLING, DOWNSIZED AND ENCLOSED WINDOWS. 2004-This romantic structure repeats the Victorian Gothic theme often employed for Pabst buildings. The entrance islocated at the corner beneath an elaborate tower complete with crenelations and machicolations. Although the windows have been partially enclosed, the openings (arched on the first story; rectangular with label modlings on the second) are still apparent. See 139 Division St., OS 16/18, the Pabst station. Resurveyed in 2004. Built by Pabst and leased to local tavern keepers until c. 1910, but continued to serve as a tavern/bowling alley for many years. |
