Additional Information: | Queen Anne design with three story tower adjoining the front gable. A second story porch is recessed above the first floor porch. The Corbett house illustrated Waters tendency to combine Queen Anne massing wih a freely handled, classically derived system of decoration. Windows on the facade appear somewhat undersized but are surrounded by elaborate frames, with curved aprons marked by carved details. Dr. Corbett was a founder of Lakeside Hospital which eventually became Mercy Hospital. |
