Additional Information: | Symmetrical two-story clapboard house with Federal Style influences and one-story wings built in the mid or late 1850's by Col. Miller, an early Oshkosh settler who practiceed law and farmed, served in the state legislature and was elected to the U.S. House of Rep. in 1891. Sold to city as a park in 1891. From 1901 to 1947 park supervisor's residence, and concession stand until 1968. Now vacant. A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. |
