NOTES
Additional Information:2005-UNCHANGED SINCE LAST SURVEY. ENCLOSED ENTRANCE VESTIBULE. DORMER WINDOWS ON REAR.

1980-Designed in the tradition of the Gothic Revival, this church is covered with clapboards and features decorative work and brackets in the gable ends. Narrow lancet windows are arranged along the nave and the simple tower which adjoins the entrance. The picturesque quality imparted by details also extends to the plan with its projecting wings and tower.

The original congregation was organized in 1856 as the German Methodist Episcopal Church. The first church, on the north side, was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1875. This building was erected to replace that. IN 1918, this congregation and two others including the 2nd M.E. church merged to form the Tenth Ave. M.E. Church. Sold to current owner.
