Additional Information:An Italianate design behind a porch addition. Windows have also been altered, replaced with aluminum combination storms. Henry Schmit, the president of Schmit Brothers Eagle Trunk Co., resided at this house in the early 1880's. The Schmidt Brother's firm was founded in 1861 and in 1880 was described as the largest trunk factory in the northwest. It has since gon eout of business and most of the factory buildings have been razed.
