Additional Information: | Local resident says house was used by the gangster John Dillinger years ago; house said to have been moved to present location in 1940s. Although in poor condition, this cottage is somewhat typical of the small, older cottages that dot the lakeshores and river banks of the Upper Fox River corridor, historically and today a summer vacation destination. This particular house is front gabled but with a hip-roofed, screened porch at the front. The exterior is principally drop siding. This cottage is said to have been originally located across the street on Lake Butte Des Morts but was moved to this location about the 1940s. |
