NOTES
Additional Information:Located on the shore of Lake Butte des Morts. The main block of this house may appear to be an old Greek Revival building, which would be appropriate for a structure located near the old Augustin Grignon Hotel (built in 1843, according to the NRHP) and in a community which traces its history as a white settlement to the early to mid-1800s. But the owner says this is actually a prefabricated Aladdin house built perhaps in the 1920s and shipped to this location by barge. Neoclassical features include Doric columns, a dormered gable roof, clapboard siding, wood-framed windows divided into a multitude of lights, and sidelights at the front entrance. The foundation is a combination rock-faced concrete block, concrete and concrete block. A new, clapboard-sided, one-story addition was just recently added.
