Additional Information: | Although in need of exterior painting and perhaps other repairs, this is a fince example of a boomtown commercial building still relatively intact. In addition to the boomtown facade, features include a cutaway front entrance and a large, nine-light front window. The exterior is clapboard; on one side is a rectangular board and batten addition. Another feature of this property and to the rear of this building is a small, gable-roofed ice house. It has a four-inch thick door and an interior lined with narrow strips of varnished wood. The exterior is drop siding. This building was once a tavern; at least part of the interior bar has been removed. The ice house to the rear was used to store liquor and beer. |
