Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION This two-story gable ell house is constructed of cream brick. It has a steeply-pitched gable roof, single-pane double-hung sashes decorated with segmental arches and stone sills, and two porches that have simple square post and plain frieze and balustrade. Also on the property is a large gambrel-roofed barn with board siding, large sliding doors, small window openings, and a rock-face concrete block foundation. ARCHITECTURAL/ ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE The agricultural outbuilding have some intrest as examples of of typical historic farm buildins in Mequon, but they are not architecturally significant for tne National Register of Historic Places. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND This house and agricultural out buildings were owned by Fred Rintelmann during the twenieth century. |
