Additional Information:Late Italianate house with cross gable and incised wood window caps.

1996--Two story house with hip roof, wide eaves, Colonial Revival porch entries, some window head treatment, some leaded glass windows but has wide siding and many modern windows.

Nels Winter was a Danish Miller who built with Wulff, Walker and Co., the City Mills in 1879. Later occupants incude A.D. Eldridge (Henry Sherry's office manager), Frank Balister (President 1st National Bank, Wisconsin River Paper & Pulp Comp., organizer of Neenah Club) and Julius Dennhardt (Mayor) Source B/E.

The house was previously surveyed in 1996(SHSW/95-1673) when it had asphalt siding; in 2004 it is recorded as aluminum. The previous map code was 120/2 on a City Base Map. The 2004 map code is 155/28a.
