Additional Information: | THIS TWO STORY STUCCO HOUSE IS BASICALLY A COMPACT CUBICAL DESIGN. THE ARRANGEMENT OF ELEMENTS EMPHASISZES THE CENTER OF THE FACADE WITH ITS ARCHED ENTRANCE ROOF, SECOND FLOOR BAND OF WINDOWS AND ATTIC DORMER. THE WALLS OF THE MAIN BUILDING AND ONE STORY WING ARE BATTERED. BECAUSE OF ITS BATTERED WALLS AND SEGMENTALLY-ARCHED PORTICO, THIS HOUSE IS SUSPECTED AS BEING THE WORK OF GEORGE W. MAHER. PREVIOUS OWNERS INCLUDE FRANK MAEKE, WHO RESIDED IN THE HOUSE IN 1919, AND DAVID CALLIN, WHO LIVED THERE IN 1920. There's a garage on the property. |
