Additional Information:ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT:
THIS GREEK REVIEVAL, FRAME HOUSE IS A TWO STORY RECTANGULAR MASS WITH ONE STORY SIDE WING. ALTHOUGH COVERED WITH WIDE GAUGE SIDING, THE ORIGINAL ENTRANCE AND PEDIMENTED GABLE HAVE BEEN RETAINED.

HISTORICAL STATEMENT:
AUGUST HORN WAS THE FOUNDER OF HORN AND SCHWALM BREWERY IN 1866. THIS WAS HIS FIRST HOME ON THE BREWERY GROUNDS, REPLACED BY THE HOME DIRECTLY SOUTH (1662 DOTY) IN THE LATE 1870'S. AFTER AUGUST LEFT, HIS SON AND HEIR TO THE BREWERY, HENRY C. HORN LIVED HERE. LATER HE MOVED TO 1662 DOTY.
