Additional Information: | Large stuccoed brick Greek Revival house with Colonial Revival Veranda. A kitchen wing was removed ca. 1915 to accommodate the house built next door. The only brick Greek Revival in the city. Built by pioneer flour miller and Sherrytown developer Hugh Sherry, the house was long occupied by Edward Smith. Smith was also a pioneer flour miller, a founder of the Neenah Paper Mill, organizer of the Wisconsin Central Railroad and the City's first Mayor. He was also Hiram Smith's brother, their houses being connected by Smith Street. Sources A/B. The house was previously surveyed in 1996(SHSW-95-1673)with a map code of 120/8 on a City Base map.
