Additional Information: | ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: THE MASSING AND MATERIALS EMPLOYED IN THIS HOUSE ALLUDE TO THE TUDOR REVIVAL. FORMS ARE HANDLED FREELY TO CREATE AN IMPRESSION RATHER THAN IMITATE THE MEDIEVAL FORM. IN CONTRAST TO OTHER EXAMPLES OF THE TUDOR REVIVAL, THIS DESIGN APPEARS TO FORMAL AND CONTAINED AND SOMEWHAT STARK, SEE 1115 AND 1219 BAYSHORE (OS 16/13 AND OS 16/14 RESPECTIVELY). THE HOUSE IS MADE OF STONE, CONCRETE AND TIMBER. HISTORICAL STATEMENT: DR. NEIL ANDREWS, AN OSHKOSH PHYSICIAN WAS THE FIRST RESIDENT LISTED IN 1930. (A) |
