Additional Information: | As noted in the 1916 atlas, this building, located adjacant to the railroad tracks (now removed), was used for the sale and milling of lumber. Today, the large structure is owned by the Nodolf Lumber Company, a firm supplying lumber and shingles, established in 1900 by William Nodolf. In 1918, the company was reorganized as Nodolf Bros. and added coal, composition roofing, asphalt and asbestos shingles, paints, cement and plaster, and brick and tile to its line of products. It is not known at this time when the Nodolf firm moved into this structure. There is also the distinct possibility that the company constructed the building. Further research is necessary to complete the history of this property. |
