Buried in the main cemetery are Dr. Edward G. and Ann Eliza Morse Dyer, Pliny M. and Ellen Amanda Conkey Perkins, Frederick Stanton Perkins, Lemuel R. and Melissa R. Campbell Smith, and Caleb P. and Elizabeth Ann Eddy Barns. The old Burlington Cemetery, which is on a hill in the northeast corner of the current Burlington Cemetery, is the resting place of Ephraim and Lucy Merrick Perkins, John and Eliza Clark Hockings, and Julia Dyer Perkins. Julia's husband, Origen, who was killed returning from the California gold fields, is not buried here, but his name is on the Perkins obelisk. |
