NOTES
Additional Information:Simple, one-story cream brick schoolhouse has a rectangular cupola and segmental arch windows.

2017- "This one-room school building is located at what is now the northwestern edge of Manitowoc’s city limits. At the time of its construction in 1891, however, this school served a small rural village called Kellner’s Corners. This front-gabled, one-story building features a central recessed entrance, with a lintel of arched soldier bricks and a central stone keystone carved with the name of the school. Single window openings flank either side of the entrance, and also feature arched soldier brick lintels. The north and south elevations contain four evenly spaced windows of similar appearance, and all windows throughout the building have been filled in with vertical wooden siding and multi-paned replacement windows. An oxeye window is located in the peak of the gable, and a square bell tower is still extant at the ridgeline. At an unknown time, the school was re-purposed for commercial use, and a workshop and warehouse space has been added to the rear of the former school building. The current organization of the interior was not apparent at the time of survey, but given the current commercial use of the property, it is likely the one-room building has been subdivided into multiple spaces."
