Additional Information:BUILT BETWEEN 1900 AND 1908 (SEE BIB. REF. A), THIS ONE AND A HALF-STORY FRONT GABLED HOUSE FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, AN ALUMINUM SIDED EXTERIOR, A WOOD TRIM, AND A SHINGLED GABLE ROOF. INTERSECTING WITH THE MAIN ROOF IN THE ATTIC STORY IS A LARGE GABLED DORMER, DISTINGUISHED FURTHER BY A PENT ROOF. AT THE SIDE ELEVATION, A BAY WINDOW IS CAPPED IN THE ATTIC STORY BY A PEDIMENTED GABLED ROOF. ALTHOUGH THE HOUSE HAS BEEN SIDED, THE ORIGINAL FORM HAS BEEN MAINTAINED. THE RESIDENCE IS IN GOOD CONDITION.

INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS HOUSE WERE JOSEPH SCHAUNBERG, WHO OCCUPIED IT FROM C. 1900 TO 1909, AND MRS. JOE SCHAUNBERG, WHO OCCUPIED IT FROM C. 1910 TO THE LATE 1920'S. (SEE BIB. REF. A).

THE BUILDING WAS DESIGNATED LOCALLY, BECOMING PART OF THE MINERAL POINT LANDMARK DISTRICT IN 1972.
