Additional Information: | 2019: This structure is a side gabled house with a centered inset dormer on its front facade. A one-story addition has been added to the rear of the house. It was constructed ca. 1870. The main house and addition sit on an uncut stone foundation and are clad in wide horizontal siding that is not original to the date of construction. Both the main roof and its gable are steeply pitched and clad in asphalt shingles. The main entrance is composed of a door and flanked on either side by 1/1 windows. A porch, with a secondary hipped roof, shelters the entrance and features narrow square column posts and a decorative spindle frieze. 2/2 windows are featured on the first story of the west façade and appear to be original to the house. These same 2/2 windows are located on the second story of the front facing facade. A brick chimney protrudes from the roof line. A side gabled, lofted barn ca. 1890-1900 is located to the east of the house and is clad in horizontal boards and covered in an asphalt roof. The entrances have been boarded over. A single story shed sits off the east facade of the barn. A sign reading Peterson’s Lock Shop is centered on the front facing façade. |
