It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. J.M. Ruby and Henry Schneider, builders. This double storefront repeats the use of red brick with black brick and stone trim of the adjoining stores (OS 13/6). In addition, a band of terra cotta marks the cornice. This building is a fine example of the Queen Anne commercial style and with 416-20 (OS 13/6,7) forms the most cohesive grouping of Queen Anne commercial structures in the city. This building originally housed Hoernig's Meat Market. |
