2016- "Charles Cornelius started the First National Bank of Neillsville in 1910. He hired Wisconsin Rapids architect Anton Billmeyer to design his home. It would become the largest house in Neillsville. George W. Trogner built the Queen Anne style house. The house was built with a third floor ballroom. A matching automobile house was built to provide shelter for Charles' new Cadillac auto. Charles was very active in growing Neillsville's business and industry until his death in 1918."
