Additional Information: | Altered cubic Intalianate. Once one of two hosues side by side. J.N. Stone was a newpaper man and founder of several antebellum Wisconsin papers, including the Wekly Tribune in Manitowoc, the Calumet Republican and the Island City Times in Neenah. In Neenah he was an active Democrat, serving as a postmaster, Village President, Mayor and Superintendent of Public Schools. The house was previously surveyed in 1981 with map code of 32/19 on a City Engineers Base Map. The 2004 map code is 144/17a. |
