Collegeate Gothic tradition bartisons incorporated in medieval keep.

Kimberly High School was the first high school building named in honor of J.A. Kimberly for his years of service on the school board.

The building was previously surveyed in 1981 with a map code of 2/31 on a City Engineer's Base Map.

Neenah's first schoolhouse was established in 1847 and the city school system was created in 1875 with 660 students. At that time, there were seven school buildings and the Superintendent was T.T. Moulton. Expansion of the school system followed the population growth of the city and by 1906, the First Ward School was overcrowded. The decision was made to erect a new building to house the high school and vocational school students and the subject structure was completed in 1909. The first principal was E.M. Beenman. The school was named after J.A. Kimberly, the school board president at the time of construction. By no later than the 1950s, the Kimberly School was utilized as a junior high. The building is currently utilized as the administration offices of the Neenah School District.
