Additional Information: | 1984/86--H.A. Fisher was cashier of the First National Bank of Menasha and Secretary/Treasurer of the Menasha Ice and Fuel Co. His house on Naymut Street was constructed in 1913. The H.A. Fisher House is lcoated on Doty Island in one of Menasha's most prominent residential neighborhoods. Situated on the west side of Naymut Street, the Fisher House is a rectangular two-and-one-half-story Craftsman/Arts and Crafts style residence featuring a concrete block veranda. The foundations are of unspecified stone, the wall material is clapboard, and the multi-gabled roof material is asphalt. The windows are double-hung, single-pane sash. Decorative features include wood shingled dormers and small diamond pane windows. The H.A. Fisher House is an outstanding example of the Craftsman/Arts and Crafts style of architecture. 2009--The boundary for the Naymut Street Historic District proposed in 1984 has been reduced in 2009; however, the Fisher house still remains in the district boundary. The house does not appear to have undergone any exterior alterations since it was last surveyed in 1984. |
