Additional Information: | Shutters, Front stoop. The George Banta, Jr. House is located on Doty Island in a neighborhood bordering Smith Park. Situated on a large lot, the Banta House is a rectangular two-and-one-half-story residence from the Colonial Revival Period of Construction. The roof material is asphalt, the siding is clapboard, and the foundations are random stone. The fenestration consists of double-hung sash windows, six-over-six. The gabled roof features a large shed dormer with three pairs of windows. Other features include a conopied front stoop with a wrought iron balcony above. |
