Additional Information: | #590. Concrete block veranda. 2009--Since last surveyed in 1984, the house has been resheathed with vinyl and the windows appear to be replacements. A new and more compatible porch railing was also constructed. Resurveyed April 2016: no visible changes. 2016- "This 2-story Queen Anne house was constructed c.1891. It is rectangular in plan with vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces south and is asymmetrical in plan with a 1-story, flat-roofed front porch that spans the façade and wraps around the southwest corner. The porch has squared wood supports and unornamented wood railings. Inside the porch are a single front door with narrow sidelights and a pair of 1-over-1 windows. A front-gabled mass contains a pair of 1-over-1 windows at the second story and a single-pane window at the attic level where the surrounding wall is clad in decorative shingle siding. A 3-story, squared tower is located at the southwest corner of the building. This contains pairs of 1-over-1 windows at the second and third stories of the front elevation and is capped by a pyramidal roof." -"Menasha, Broad St: Tayco St to Racine St", WisDOT#4992-00-55/58, Prepared by Gail Klein, (2016). |
