AN IRON FORMATION AROUND THE FRONT DOOR OF THE STOREFRONT REMAINS TO THIS DAY ON THE BUILDING. He had a saloon at this location, and at various times was also a dealer in dry goods, groceries, boots and shoes, and hardware. the iron pillars at the front of the building were made by a local foundry. In addition to Horn's businesses, the building has been the location of McIhatton Brother's saloon, Amundsen's Cafe' the Royal Blue Store' Ceniti's Tavern; Gramp's Place; Riki's Bay; and Fat Boy Slim's Saloon."
-from "A Field Guide to Mineral Point" by Nancy Pfotenhauer of the Mineral Point Historical Society, 1st Edition, 2012, Little Creek Press.
