| Additional Information: | Tkhis large Tudor home is characterized by shaped parapets on teh gable ends and very little other ornamentation. The walls are red brick and the windows are simple double hung units without ornamentaiton other than stone sills; however, they do feature 12/1 lights. The enclosed entry area features a crenalated parapet and cut stone ornate doorway surround. A two care garage is attached. R.C. Douglas was president of the Manitowoc Gas company, formed in 1907, from that year until 1918 when he sold his interest. In 1925, he founded the Interstate Fuel and Light Company which purchased Manitowoc Gas changing its name yto Wisconsin Fuel and Light. Douglas and other local interest sold that company in 1929. |
