NOTES
Additional Information:Altered 1st story; stencil work ; Palladian window.

This building is a single bay commercial building dating from 1895. Although the first floor has been severely altered, t hrough remodelling, the second floor is intact. The cream brick construction of the building highlighted by a set of three windows in Palladian arch form in the Romanesque Revival style. The windows feature raised brick surrounds which are repeated with raised brick pilasters on the corners. A stone band extends across the entire facade at the window top level. A corbelled cornice completes the composition.

In 1897, Kettenhofen ran a saloon in this building and lived upstairs. From 1903-1922 the building was occupied by the Manitowoc Steam Cleaning and Dying Works, Henry Bode, owner. In 1922, it was acquired by John A. Glander for expansion of the Glander Art Studio at 822 Washington St.
