Additional Information: | The Jefferson School is an interesting blend of styles prevalent in the early 1930's., The use of the door surrounds is representative of the moderne style of the 1930's as in the relief work on portions of the cornice. The basic form of the building as well as the use of brick with concrete lintels and banding suggests a touch of the more conservative Academic Classic found innumerous schools of the era in the city. A loss of integrity due to changes in windows and additions precludes a recommendation of eligibility. |
