Ornate brick Colonial Revival home features symmetrical block with chimney on both sides. The roof is side gabled with denticulated cornice and side cornice returns. Two gable roofed dormers with single round arched windows pierce the roof line. The central feature of this house is an ornamental wooden entrane pavillion topped by a pedimented gable with cornice returns supported by pilasters to the ground level. The second floor of this central area features a set of Palladian windows. The first floor entrance features side lights and lanterns and a carved shell motif over the door. A one story brick family room addition is to the rear and beyond that a brick two car garage. This is the most elaborate home of this type in the district. The house was built for Victor Trastek, secretary of the Northern Wisconsin Produce Company. |
