NOTES
Additional Information:Eclectic Resurgence: Colonial Revival. Fine example of 1920s Colonial Revival. Accurately detailed, well proportioned. Red brick, slate (?) roof. Handsome entrance with bonnet top and sidelights. Well proportioned dormers with broken pediments and arched sash. Porches and wings appear to be original and appropriate in scale.

Constructed on the site of Joseph Emerson's home at 810 College St. The fraternity house was owned by the college and rented to the fraternity. By 1905, Beloit College owned all of Block 31, except lots 4,5,12 and 13. however, Mrs. Emerson is still at this address in the 1919 directory.

Beta Theta Pi is the earliest fraternity organized at Beloit College, in 1860.
