Additional Information:THIS TWO STORY FRONT GABLED, GREEK REVIVAL HOUSE WAS BUILT IN THE 1850s. IT FEATURES AN ALUMINUM SIDED EXTERIOR AND A GABLE ROOF. A PEDIMENT APPEARS IN THE UPPERMOST STORY OF THE OPEN GABLE END. PROJECTING FORWARD ON THE MAIN FACADE IS A FULL LENGTH FRONT PORCH; ITS SHED ROOF IS SUPPORTED BY BRACKETED COLUMNS. A 1998 LEAN-TO IS ATTACHED AT THE REAR. THE RESIDENCE IS IN GOOD CONDITION.

This building was originally located across the street and up the hill on High St. where it housed a millinery shop. In 1892, Charles Hornung moved the building to its current location to make room for his bakery/restaurant. It was restored in 1990. [D]
