Additional Information:THIS ONE STORY BUILDING FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A CONCRETE AND BRICK EXTERIOR AND A FLAT ROOF. ACCORDING TO THE INVENTORY CARD DESCRIBING THIS PROPERTY, THE BUILDING IS COVERED IN METAL SIDING WHICH DESIGNED TO LOOK LIKE RUSTICATED BRICKS. A CONCRETE ADDITION WAS BUILT ONTO THE ORIGINAL STRUCTURE IN THE 1950'S. (SEE BIB. REF. B). ALSO, THE ROOF WAS ALTERED AT AN UNSPECIFED DATE ON THE ORIGINAL STRUCURE. THIS SERVICE STATION BUILDING IS PRESENTLY IN GOOD CONDITION.

THIS STRUCTURE, WHICH WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1915 AND 1929, WAS HISTORICALLY KNOWN AS THE HARKER GARAGE. (SEE BIB. REF. A) THE BUILDING WAS USED AS A FILLING STATION FROM C. 1915 TO 1929. (SEE BIB. REF. A).

THE BUILDING WAS LOCALLY DESIGNATED, BECOMING PART OF THE MINERAL POINT LANDMARK DISTRICT IN 1972.
