NOTES
Additional Information:THIS INDUSTRIAL BUILDING IS DESIGNED USING A COMBINATION OF OTHER VERNAULAR AND FRONT GABLED STYLES. ITS PLAN CONFIGURATION IS RECTANGULAR IN SHAPE. THE EXTERIOR WALLS ARE MADE OF CONCRETE BLOCK AND THE TRIM IS MADE OF WOOD. ONE DOOR LOCATED ON THE MAIN FACADE HAS A LARGE TRANSOM WINDOW. THE STRUCTURE IS IN GOOD CONDITION.

THE GOLLINER MACHINE AND BOILER COMPANY BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED BETWEEN THE YEARS 1915 AND 1920. (SEE BIB. REF. A). Fred Golliner Jr. was still operating his business when he died in 1941. His widow, Mary Golliner, ran the business and in 1946 the Mineral Point Tribune wrote: "Right under the nose of practically everyone in Mineral Point is one of the most unusual business operations in the United States. It is that of Mrs May (should be Mary) Golliner, who as a lady boilermaker, is one of the two women in the country engaged in this business" Mary Golliner died in 1956.

THE BUILDING WAS DESIGNATED LOCALLY, BECOMING PART OF THE MINERAL POINT LANDMARK DISTRICT IN 1972.
