Originally constructed for use as a city hall, this large, three story red brick Classical Revival building has three rows of belt courses beneath its unadorned roof line and paired rectangular windows on the third floor. The first level has been altered. Built by John Coppes, a former Kaukauna Mayor, this 1922 structure once housed the city offices, the poilice department, fire department, post office and the city's utilities. Alongo with the library next door and the high school across the street, this building created a "true city center." |
