NOTES
Additional Information:Very nice example of the Queen Anne style as applied to a church structure. The church is constructed of wood with all but the gable ends covered with clapboard. The gable ends feature a rectangular grid of boards with stuccoed surface in the interior. This motif is repeated on the gabled front porch roof as well as the square bell tower. The front facade features a large stained glass window with Gothic tracery. Similar patterns are found on the smaller side facade window.

St. Paul's Church is a very impressive example of a simple church of the Queen Anne period. Its integrity makes it an important property.

St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church was the first church of that sect in the area, tracing its roots back to prayer meetings held in 1837. The original church on this site was built c. 1850 and was replaced by the present building now owned by another church congregation.
