| Additional Information: | This two-story Italianate house has a low-pitched hip roof with wide overhanging eaves decorated with brackets. A two-story shallow ell projects from one corner of the house. Windows are tall, with modern sashes. They are decorated with pedimented lintels. The fornt porch is a later addition with round columns and a spool-and-spindle balustrade. Part of it is enclosed. This house is a good example of a simple variation of the Italianate style. This was the home of James J. Barrett, a carpenter, between 1875 and 1887. Initial research indicates that the occupants of this house are not historically significant. |
