NOTES
Additional Information:This church building has a front gable vernacular form, a limestone veneer covering, and simple openings. The main gable features a pediment of returned eaves and an enclosed entry pavilion, also with a pediment. An enclosed oriel sits at the intersection of the main wall and the entry pavilion.

This building is not architecturally significant.

In 1914, a small number of Greek immigrants came to Fond du Lac. They purchased a lot in 1916 and erected this church there. The building was remodeled in 1925, and given the stone veneer in 1932.

This church building is historically significant for its association with the Greek immigrants who came to Fond du Lac in the early twentieth century. Fond du Lac became home to a number of immigrants in the nineteenth century that were typical of Wisconsin: Yankees, Germans, Irish, English, and Scandinavians. But only the largest communities in the state saw the immigration of southern and eastern Europeans in the early twentieth century similar to that seen in major United States cities. This church represents a small group of these immigrants who came to a small community and founded their own ethnic institutions.
